New Map Designs

I found the most awesome book at Half Price Books the other day. It's called "Mapping the World" and is filled with gorgeous maps and drawings, many ancient. It brings me back to my art history days. Oh how I love poring over pictures of illuminated manuscripts. The ancient maps are so much more detailed and have pictures of people, animals, castles, etc. Not as useful as today's maps for actually finding out how to get somewhere, but so pretty!

The picture is of some envelopes I made using pages from the book.

I have been wanting to get Moo cards Forever! I just wish I had my logo more solid, maybe I'll just get them with text and no flower logo? Decisions decisions...

How many times have you wished you had something like this???? Although for me, there might have been more occasions where people would put them on my car... Darn parallel parking! I am getting better though now that I have a smaller car and some more practice!

Valentine Contest

I would love to enter this contest at Cool Mom Picks! I am having flashbacks to the good old days in elementary school when we would all make and decorate valentine mailboxes and spend hours agonizing whether or not the little smiley face that cute boy drew on my valentine meant if he liked me or if he just liked smiley faces. The days when all it took to be the best valentine in the class was to be the kid who attached lollipops to their cards. Here I go to draw some valentines!

Yay! My new shop is FINALLY up and running...now I just have to keep making things to post and hope for that first sale. From what I've read on the Etsy forums that could take a while but hopefully with enough new items going up and maybe some love from the relatives I can get going!

And once again, it has been over a month since I have posted. Whoops! Hopefully now that I'm done moving, I can focus more on crafts! I LOVE this book, I must have it. Craft party anyone?

Spring is here!

Yay Spring!!! I am so ready to shed the wool coats and scarves and bring out the sunglasses and my baby blue purse. Here is a photo that I took last year at the Tulip Festival in Mt. Vernon. I love tulips and this picture just says spring to me. One more month and then I will be spring cleaning the house and getting a much needed refreshing. Hopefully my next place will have some more room for an art area where ink whimsy can take over!
